Meet Our Non-Profit Of The Week – WeForGood International

About the Founder(s)

Temitayo Ade-Peters is an award winning bilingual (French/ English) Sustainable

Development Consultant and an eco-segment leader with 15 years’ experience in the operations, communications and sustainability fields. She is currently the CEO ofWeForGood International, an expression of Kharis Cares Foundation.

Prior to her current role, she led the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability efforts at a leading Exchange in Nigeria, and before that, she was Head, CSR at one of the top banks in the country. Her immediate pursuit after joining the bank was to bring improved structure to its sustainability efforts, and elevate its profile amongst stakeholders through impact-focused initiatives. The journey earned the bank several recognitions and sustainability awards.

She was honouredwith the GLOBAL CSR LEADERSHIP AWARD at the World CSR Day in Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India in 2018.

SPOTLIGHT

WeForGood International, an expression of Kharis Cares Foundation, is a sustainable development consulting firm that focuses on communications, training and programmes that target the fulfilment of the SDGs, with the overall mission to champion the emergence of a new crop of African leaders who are committed to its sustainable development.

They support organisations in their journey towards purpose and profit, from strategy to execution. Their training and coaching arm focuses on helping young people and professionals gain the right leadership skills to create sustainable value in competitive landscapes.

Their online community brings people and organisations together to act on causes they care about, employing technology as an enabler for effective citizenship, collaboration and participation in fulfilment of the SDGs, and for the overall wellbeing of communities.

  • Held the Sustainable Solutions Africa Conference
  • Held the SSAfrica 30Uder30 project (fellowship) andprovided grants of N3M each to fellows
  • Participated in conferences such as Sustainable Table Series, Elevate Your Game 2020
  • Distributed free Global Goals Comic to children and young people
  • Supported the Slum Art Project

IMPACT

Over 52,000 individuals in Abuja, AkwaIbom, Anambra, Enugu, Kaduna, Lagoshave been educated on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) so as to entrench sustainable leadership in them from an early stage.

The start-ups WeForGood supports through SSAfrica 30Uder30 projectcollectively have 244,313 and 322,135 direct and indirect beneficiaries respectively, bringing their total reach in numbers to 566,448.

WeForGood held a medical drive for over 250 children at Makoko community in Lagos.
